Park Cities Water Restrictions Begin Sunday

From April 1 through October 31, residents and business operators are prohibited from using automatic sprinkler and irrigation systems from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Handheld watering with a can, hose or soaker hose is permitted at all times.

In a University Park, Highland Park, and Dallas property owners can be cited and fined for non-compliance.

During this restriction period, violators will be given one warning notice.  A second violation will result in a ticket and possible fine.

So, even though the lakes are full, don’t be a jerk.

I honestly thought this was always the rule, year ’round. Seems like it should be.

Highland Park uses more water per household than any other in all of Texas by far. I walk thru there every day and no one follows these rules. Are they getting fined ?
