Local and global news, sports updates (Mavericks, Cowboys, Rangers, Stars), weather, traffic, reviews, and lifestyle
- Pros: Quick and easy access to Dallas Morning News stories
- Cons: While the app is free, almost all articles require you to pay and subscribe.
- Verdict: Great source of mobile news, but do not think you can get away without paying.
Dallas Public Library (free)
Find books, CDs, and DVDs at the library, as well as book reviews and branch locations
- Pros: Easy to use; book reviews are very beneficial.
- Cons: None
- Verdict: A must-have for Dallas Public Library junkies
DART Time Table (Dallas) ($0.99)

- Pros: A way to double-check train lines and information
- Cons: Some data can be inaccurate and unreliable.

- Pros: A quick way to find the best, traffic-free route
- Cons: It temps users to look at their phone while driving.
- Verdict: Saves time and helps you avoid traffic, but remember to use the app before you get on the road.
