What kind of injury caused Brady Burgin to leave the game in the 4th quarter? Big adjustment for the team to try to make (for the first time all season?) at the end of a close game.
Brady broke his collarbone. Bad deal for hardworking starters but this scenario illustrates the stupidity of HP coaches who continue to play first string even when they’re winning by 20 points. They don’t give 2nd string enough playing time and it’s tough for a second string guy, especially a QB, to come in during a high pressure situation. Kudos to boys, lesson for coaches.
@scotfan – you hit the nail on the head. Ridiculous to see first stringers in the game on both sides of the ball when the Scots are up by four TDs in the second half. It’s been like that for years.
for pete’s sake, finally some folks bring up a point
i have been raising for years.
our coaches need to learn from this.
whether we beat a team 49-0 or 35-10, its still a win.
of course, i don’t expect this to happen.
when we won state, in the championship game the coaches tried a quarterback throwback when ahead 35-0 and we still had defensive starters in the game on the last play.

He had a separated shoulder, I believe.
