This just in from a demographer: HPISD has more than 1,000 students — seriously, count ’em – per square mile, making it one of the densest school districts in Texas. And I doubt you’ll be surprised to hear that number is ever-growing.
That number is a bit surprising since we don’t have a large amount of apartments, but you’re talking about an entire district and we’re a very residential area. Is Alamo Heights its own ISD? Bellaire?
i’m a new father, and it’s no wonder practically everyone i know has recommended dallas’ great selection of private schools. unless, of course, my daughter turns out to be rich, pretty, skinny, smart, witty, and athletic – than i heard she’ll do just fine in HPISD.
Perhaps it’s time for a campaign to get people to slow down in the mornings…kids on bikes and foot don’t fair well against inconsiderate drivers
Don’t call our students dense! 🙂
