Highland Park rising sophomore Scottie Scheffler and three former Scots all qualified for the US. Amateur Championship at a sectional qualifying tournament on Monday in Southlake.

Former Scot Paul Haley, who golfed at Georgia Tech, won the tournament with a 136, followed by Scheffler with a 138. SMU golfer and Highland Park alum Marc Sambol also qualified, as did Drew Evans, a former Scot who is now at Texas A&M.

The U.S. Amateur Championship is Aug. 22-23 at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisc. Recent Jesuit grad Jordan Spieth will also be there, along with his caddy and soon-to-be Texas teammate Kramer Hickok.
