Prestonwood Christian Academy
Prestonwood Christian Academy is founded on the philosophy of Kingdom Education, which focuses on the partnership between the home, school and church. This philosophy sets PCA apart as a biblical worldview training model for the next generation. The Plano campus located just west of the Dallas North Tollway and north of the George Bush Turnpike offers grades Pre-K 3 through 12. A second campus, Prestonwood Christian Academy North located in Prosper, Texas, opens in the fall of 2014 and offers grades Pre-K through 4.
PCA is committed to fostering an atmosphere of balance. Academic excellence is achieved with deliberate attention to homework relevancy and purpose, individual tutoring provided by PCA faculty, and block scheduling for Upper School. PCA students are able to participate in co-curricular areas while they excel in academics. In athletics, PCA teams continually win state championships in football, basketball, soccer, track, tennis and golf and national championships in competitive cheerleading. Fine Arts students gain national recognition through the International Thespian Society and state championships in visual art competitions. PCA graduates attend Ivy League schools and many other highly selective colleges and universities.
Prestonwood Christian Academy offers programs distinctive to the school that encourage leadership development, including Student Leadership Institute, a rich Speech and Communication Studies Program, Mock Trial, national and international mission trip opportunities, and over 150 internship opportunities.
PCA serves parents and equips families through its Family Conference, Biblical Worldview Institute, Kingdom Parent Institute and Family Mission Trips.
At PCA the eternal perspective is the rudder and the goal is, “Everything for the Greater Glory of God.”
