Scots Dismantle Wylie East to Stay Perfect
Highland Park had no trouble with first-year varsity program Wylie East on Friday night, rolling to a 66-12 victory in District 10-4A play.
The Scots (5-0, 2-0) got another monster game from receiver Dalton Stogner, who hauled in six catches for 206 yards and three touchdowns. That would be an average of 34.3 yards per catch.
The defense even got in on the scoring act for Highland Park. Blake Poston picked off a pass on the first offensive play from scrimmage for the Raiders and took it 28 yards to the house.
The Scots return home to face Wylie next Friday night.
Why do they run up the score? Will the score matter if there’s a tie at end of season for district winner?
