No longer free as a bird, the cockatiel watches traffic from a window at University Park City Hall.
Recognize that bird? Well, if you want it back, you’ll have to get in touch with University Park’s City Secretary, who happens to be a bird lover. She’s taking the Williams Park cockatiel home with her after its short stint in wild territory. Steve Mace says that code enforcement officers managed to wrangle the little guy into a cage without incident. “We’re still in hopes the bird’s owner will call and claim him,” Mace said.
