Highland Belles Add 28 to Ranks

The Highland Belles will add 28 new members to their ranks next season for a total of 65 dancers.

After a long and arduous tryout, the Highland Belles will add 28 new members to the highly competitive drill team’s ranks. With 37 returning members, the squad will total 65 dancers.

New members will start workouts in January so they will blend and perform by late spring, said Belles PR chair Tanya Foster.

Congrats, girls!

UPDATE: Foster announced today that five girls, including Juliet Waters, Alex Williams, Macey McCarty, Katherine Cullins, and Lindsey Elliott, were selected as Belle managers.

When will the first lawsuit be filed by a Mom of an unsuccessful try-out candidate?

Congratulations! Belles aren’t picked for their looks but for their skill and talent. Many of these girls dance 15 to 20 hours a week in addition to school. Last week, these girls withstood a lot of stress and pressure that many adults couldn’t have handled. Very proud of these girls!

The curly haired brunette was only allowed in the group because of the fear of a discrimination lawsuit. In Highland Park that’s what’s known as integration.
