Scots Headed to Jerry World

Highland Park had no trouble disposing of Hillcrest, 49-14, on Friday night at Highlander Stadium in a Class 4A Division II football area playoff game.

With the win, the Scots (12-0) will play either Whitehouse or Mesquite Poteet at 7 p.m. one week from Saturday at Cowboys Stadium. The Wildcats and Pirates play tomorrow afternoon in Corsicana.

Against the Panthers (8-3), Highland Park rolled up nearly 650 yards of total offense, including three touchdown passes and two touchdown runs by Jake Howeth. Receiver William Morris had eight catches for 193 yards and two touchdowns.

Mesquite Poteet, they beat Whitehouse last night 24-19. Playoff tickets are usually around $10 if memory serves, and they start selling them at the Highlander Stadium box office on Wednesday.

Tickets are $8 students and $10 adults – and since it is Thanksgiving week, they are available today and tomorrow at the Highlander Stadium ticket office. The ticket office is open today until 3:30 and the hours tomorrow are 7:30 to 1:30. Tickets will be at Cowboys Stadium for $12. And Stadium parking is $10.
