Bi-District Match Set For Tuesday
The Highland Park Lady Scots have set their bi-district match with Frisco Liberty. It will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Carrollton R.L. Turner.
After losing to No. 1 Pearce on Oct. 15, Highland Park, which is ranked No. 19 in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association’s Class 4A state poll, closed out the regular season with three straight victories.
The Lady Scots (29-14, 12-2) swept Wylie East, 25-5, 25-14, 25-7, on Tuesday night at Highlander Fieldhouse. Highland Park finished in second place in the District 10-4A standings.
Liberty (20-19, 10-4) took third place in District 9-4A. The Redhawks have won five straight matches heading into the postseason. Highland Park swept Liberty, 21-25, 25-17, 25-15, on Aug. 21 in the Byron Nelson Tournament. The winner will take on the South Oak Cliff-Bryan Adams winner in the second round of the playoffs.
Highland Park lost in the third round of the playoffs to Frisco Centennial, 25-21, 27-29, 26-24, 14-25, 15-9, last season.
