Thoughts About Northpark

So, yesterday at Northpark mall, I had these unrelated thoughts.

Walking, even power walking, around Northpark is perfectly okay.  Jogging, in your sweat-stained tee shirt?  I don’t think so.

This next thought is more properly divided in two:

There is a “Nursing” room adjacent to the bathrooms near Cibus and La Duni.  First, I thought we’d advanced beyond secreting women in a hidden room to nurse their babies.  Second, the symbol on the door is a baby bottle, the very object one is avoiding by using that room.  Wouldn’t the more appropriate icon be a tastefully rendered breast outline?  As Merritt would add, I’m just sayin’.

My suggestions (and good to see you writing more these days – and where’s Merritt?):

    1. Jogging in the mall? I’d recommend not doing it at all, but if you were to do it, I’d suggest the second floor by Nordstorm – no one is up there and you could just do laps out to the first turn. And all power walking should be done before 11 am or after 8 pm.

    2. What about a 3D boob door knob?

I’ve missed you, bc. You’re so funny. And bc’s right, Chuck, it is good to see you writing more these days.
Charles found a spectacular pair of “knockers” for his book’s cover, maybe they could also be used for the door decoration.

Thanks, BC and Kersten. In an effort to serve my community, I would be happy to lead a search committee for the most appropriate door symbol(s).

This, despite the fact that the research could be both exhaustive and exhausting.

Charles, you’re such a giver…never a thought to your own interests. You humble me.
