Police Report: Feb. 1-7

SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: THE MINOR CITATION GENERATION

At 10:24 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6, police responded to a noise complaint in the 4000 block of Hanover Street, where juveniles were throwing a party. Officers released the minors to their parent or guardian, and three citations were issued for minor in consumption.

HIGHLAND PARK

1 MONDAY
At 12:29 a.m., Sebastian De Avila, 24, of Dallas, and Jordan Garcia, 18, of Dallas, were arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana in the 4600 block of Versailles Avenue.

Between 8 and 10:28 a.m., a woman walking her dogs found an Astra A-75 pistol, valued at $500, on the sidewalk in the 4600 block of North Versailles Avenue.

At 3:15 p.m., the owner of a white 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe reported the theft of several items from the vehicle in the 4600 block of Belclaire Avenue. The thief entered the vehicle between 7 and 11 p.m. on Jan. 30, and stole a $180 Orvis coat, a $380 Patagonia jacket, a $600 pair of Orvis sunglasses, and a $600 iPhone 6S.

2 TUESDAY
At 8:42 a.m., the owner of a black 2012 Audi A8 reported the theft of the vehicle in the 4400 block of Beverly Drive. The scoundrel entered the vehicle between 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 and 9:24 a.m. and stole a $195 pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses, a $600 Dell laptop, and a $600 TUMI bag.

At 10:04 a.m., a resident of the 3500 block of Harvard Avenue reported the theft of an unpublished manuscript, valued between $25,000 and $50,000, from the attic of the house.

6 SATURDAY
Between 10 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 6, two thieves entered and stole a white Toyota Prius from an underground parking garage of an apartment complex in the 4200 block of Lomo Alto Drive. The vehicle contained $200 in medical books, a $200 child’s car seat, a $250 Garmin GPS, and a $1,000 pair of Cartier sunglasses.

At 3:27 p.m., Jayro Francisco Castellon, 24, of Dallas, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and evading arrest in the 4500 block of Cole Avenue.

UNIVERSITY PARK

4 THURSDAY
At 1:57 a.m., Eric Cortez, 31, of Dallas, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication in the 4100 block of Colgate Avenue.

Between 7:45 and 9:03 p.m., a burglar broke into a black 2014 Ford F250 truck and in the 4300 block of Purdue Street and stole $100 in magazine clips, and a $600 45 Taurus 1911 pistol.

6 SATURDAY
Between 7 p.m. on Feb. 5 and 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 6, a thief entered a tan 2008 Chevrolet in the 4200 block of San Carlos Drive and stole a $150 Victorinox briefcase, and $2,000 in Zeiss office equipment.

Between 10 p.m. on Feb. 5 and 11 a.m. on Feb. 6, a burglar broke into a gray 2014 BMW in the 3400 block of Hanover Street and stole a $800 Dell laptop.

Between 7 p.m. on Feb. 5 and noon on Feb. 6, a thief entered a white 2015 Honda in the 3500 block of Bryn Mawr and stole a $1,500 Mac Air.

Between 6 a.m. on Feb. 3 and 4:26 p.m. on Feb. 6, a miscreant entered a black 2010 Toyota 4Runner in the 3900 block of Bryn Mawr Drive and rifled through the vehicle’s contents. It is unclear whether anything was taken.

At 6:12 p.m., Rochelle Maria Cole, 54, of University Park, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury in the 4400 block of Stanford Avenue.

7 SUNDAY
Between 6 p.m. on Feb. 6 and 6 a.m. on Feb. 7, a burglar broke into a black 2012 Chevrolet Suburban in the 3200 block of Rankin Avenue and a stole the third-row seat.
