I always see something happening at highland park Village, mostly shoplifting but sometimes DWI’s . . I think the real crime there is what the owners have done with the place. It is a souless place with shops so few want to go in. Even if you can afford this stuff there are so many other places to shop where you’re not attacked by bored sales people. At least it’s easier to find a parking place now because so few people ever go there anymore. The restaurants and maybe the movie theater are the only reasons to go there. Stripping away the history, the community focus, eliminating the reason for the neighbors can go there (Blue Grocery doesn’t cut it, sorry) and the owner’s endless (self promotion (Can’t wait to get a Republican back in the White House!) . . THAT IS REAL SKULDUGGERY!
My sentiments exactly!
