Skulduggery of the week: Red River Rapscallion

Between 5 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 9:03 a.m. on Oct. 11, a thief stole an Oklahoma license plate from a black 2008 Toyota Sequoia in the 2800 block of Rosedale Avenue and replaced it with a Texas license plate.

HIGHLAND PARK

6 TUESDAY
Between 10 p.m. on Oct. 5 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 6, a burglar broke into a beige 2007 GMC Yukon in the 4600 block of Belclaire Avenue and stole the third-row seat.

10 SATURDAY
At 4:07 p.m., a Highland Park High School student was involved in a rollover accident and car fire involving a red 2002 BMW sedan that ran a stop sign in the 3200 block of St. Johns Drive. During the investigation, the teenage driver was found to have a package of rolling papers and a fake driver’s license with a birthdate different than the one on their provisional license. So in addition to the traffic ticket, the driver was charged with forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia. The teen was transported to a hospital with an arm injury.

11 SUNDAY
At 1:50 a.m., Brent Paul Sturman, 36, of Richardson was arrested in the 4200 block of Armstrong Avenue on a public intoxication charge.

At 3:21 a.m., Stephen Luke Cone, 21, of Houston was arrested in the 3700 block of Potomac Avenue on a public intoxication charge.

At 10:20 p.m., Leticia Lopez Spencer, 49, of Highland Park was arrested at Highland Park Village on a public intoxication charge.

UNIVERSITY PARK

5 MONDAY
Between 9 p.m. on Oct. 4 and 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 5, a thief stole a $515 Cannondale boys bicycle from a porch in the 3500 block of Milton Avenue.

At 2:19 p.m., a parent reported that a thief stole a $330 Raleigh boys bicycle at Highland Park Middle School between 8:30 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. on Oct. 2.

6 TUESDAY
At 6:23 p.m., Stephanie Renee Jeffery, 37, of Dallas was arrested at Preston Road Pharmacy on a charge of forging or altering a prescription.

7 WEDNESDAY
Between 9:45 a.m. and 1:20 p.m., a burglar broke into a silver 2015 Infiniti sedan at the Miracle Mile shopping center and stole a $50 Fossil purse.

8 THURSDAY
At 4:46 p.m., a thief stole a $9,000 wedding ring at Hotel Lumen in the 6100 block of Hillcrest Avenue.

9 FRIDAY
Between 7:50 and 8:17 a.m., a burglar broke into a gray 2013 Lexus SUV at Germany Park and stole a $200 Kate Spade purse containing a $50 wallet and $70 in cash.

At 9:45 p.m., a spectator at a football game at Highland Park High School reported to police that another fan had a gun in the stands. When confronted, the perpetrator informed officers that they had a CHL and didn’t know they weren’t allowed to carry the weapon into the stadium. Kip Alan Underwood, 58, of University Park was arrested on a charge of unlawfully carrying a handgun.

10 SATURDAY
At 12:20 a.m., Angela Ahmadi, 43, of University Park was arrested in the 4200 block of Shenandoah Avenue on an assault charge.

11 SUNDAY
Between 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 and 1:40 p.m. on Oct. 11, a burglar broke into a white 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe in the 4100 block of Caruth Boulevard and stole a $1,000 set of TaylorMade golf clubs and the third-row seat.

At 2:08 p.m., a burglar broke into a maroon 2016 Kia Sedona at Caruth Park and stole $13,100 worth of jewelry, $140 in cash, a $125 Mountain Hardwear jacket, a $120 pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses, a $100 Hobo wallet, and two purses valued at $45.
