Between 3:45 and 5 p.m. on April 14, a vandal poured cream-colored nail polish on the doors, hood, roof, and trunk of a blue 2007 Honda Civic at an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Abbott Avenue.
HIGHLAND PARK
13 MONDAY
Between 9 p.m. on April 12 and 7:45 a.m. on April 13, a thief stole a $150 Ozone bicycle from an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Abbott Avenue.
At 10:08 p.m., Teresa Anne Weston, 48, of Highland Park was arrested in the 4700 block of Abbott Avenue on charges of driving while intoxicated and public intoxication.
14 TUESDAY
At 11:42 a.m., a resident of the 4700 block of Bowser Avenuereported several items stolen from a house on April 9, including $17,785 worth of jewelry, a $12,000 pair of Christian Louboutin leather shoes, and a $400 iPad Mini.
15 WEDNESDAY
Between 10 p.m. and midnight, a thief stole a $1,000 Cannondale women’s bicycle from an apartment complex in the 4700 block of Abbott Avenue.
17 FRIDAY
At 12:53 p.m., two shoplifters stole an iPhone and a Samsung phone from a glass counter inside the Tom Ford store at Highland Park Village. The same two women are also suspected of stealing a $200 charm and a $165 keychain from the Stella McCartney store shortly afterward.
18 SATURDAY
At 11:56 p.m., a group of thieves stole several items of clothing, a Kobalt flashlight, a pair of sunglasses, a bottle of Gucci perfume, various phone accessories, a car key, a container of New Brand body spray, a Diesel Watch, an SMU blanket, $2 in cash, and a Lake Highlands High School ID card from an unlocked gray 2012 Toyota 4Runner in the 3500 block of Normandy Avenue. Following the larceny, a witness prompted an officer to pull over a Mercury Marquis near Highland Park Middle School, where all five teenage occupants — including the 15-year-old driver — were arrested on burglary charges.
At 4:43 a.m., Devin Scott French, 41, of Dallas was arrested in the4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive on a public intoxication charge.
UNIVERSITY PARK
13 MONDAY
At 4 a.m., Luis Ivan Segovia, 38, of Dallas was arrested at Park Cities Plaza on a public intoxication charge.
Between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., a thief stole a $50,000 Tiffany ring from a house in the 4400 block of University Boulevard. A cleaning crew was working in the house on the day the homeowner noticed the ring was missing.
At 3:30 p.m., a thief entered an unlocked rental car in an attached garage in the 3900 block of Hanover Street and stole a $1,500 Louis Vuitton purse and a $400 iPhone.
14 TUESDAY
Between 9:45 p.m. on April 13 and 6 a.m. on April 14, a thief entered an unlocked blue 2014 Ford Fusion in the 4300 block of Greenbrier Drive and stole a few credit cards and identification cards.
16 THURSDAY
Between 7:45 and 8:45 p.m., a thief stole a gray 2008 Mercedes sedan at Park Cities Plaza. The car contained $1,500 worth of clothing, a $600 M&D purse, a $500 Louis Vuitton wallet, and a $100 pair of Charles David shoes.
17 FRIDAY
Between 4 p.m. on April 16 and 8 a.m. on April 17, a thief stole a FedEx package, valued at $50, from the doorstep of a home in the6600 block of Airline Road.
Between 12:30 and 12:39 p.m., a thief stole a $500 Michael Kors purse, a $400 iPhone, a $100 Michael Kors wallet, and $100 worth of cosmetics from an unlocked black 2012 Honda CRV at theMiracle Mile shopping center.
At 7:16 p.m., a shoplifter stole 159 Gillette razors and three Schick razors from CVS at Park Cities Plaza. The total value of the stolen shavers was undetermined.
18 SATURDAY
Between 4:45 and 5 p.m., a burglar broke into a black 2013 BMW sedan and a 2008 GMC Yukon at Germany Park, and stole a $1,000 Gollier purse, a $700 iPhone, a $200 HTC One cell phone, $200 worth of clothing, and a $100 Nike bag.
Sometimes it seems like Highland Park Village has more shoplifters than customers.
