Pop-Up Partnership Launches at Piermarini
Pop-up stores might be all the rage these days, especially around the holidays, but one inside Piermarini at Snider Plaza has special meaning for two friends.
John Piermarini, the owner of the boutique, is teaming with Cynthia Barnhouse of Barbedwire to launch a pop-up inside the store this weekend. It will hold a launch event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, and will be open on Friday and Saturday.
Piermarini met Barnhouse when he moved his shop from Uptown to Snider Plaza three years ago. At the time, Barnhouse was managing Cicada Collection, also at Snider Plaza.
“We became friends at first sight when we looked at each other in head-to-toe black and matching leather jackets,” Piermarini said. “We share a similar aesthetic and both of us appreciate beauty, culture, and all things fashion.”
Cicada later closed, but the two kept in touch, and Barnhouse later used her background in luxury goods to launch her own jewelry boutique, which led to the current partnership.
