‘UP With Reading’ Kicks Off Soon
Margaux already gave you a heads up on the University Park Library’s summer kickoff following the Fishing Derby, but here are a few more dates and details. All programs start at 2 p.m. and feature a special guest. In addition, each participant gets a hot air balloon cutout to decorate and hang in the library (to match the ‘UP’ theme). Each kid who reads 10 hours gets a yard sign, and those who read 50 hours get a book. The HPISD student with the most hours will get the Readers Cup trophy. Mark your calendars now:

June 26: Dallas Children’s Theater (starts at 1:30 p.m.)
July 10: Creature Teacher
July 17: Dorayne Breedlove, storyteller
