Back when I gave a shat about the Cowboys, before JJ bought it. I was there for many games watching Coach Landry pace the sidelines, Roger throwing to Drew and Charlie Waters and Cliff Harris making it happen on D. Crazy Ray was young and energetic and if the stadium sucked, no one really knew or cared. We had nothing to compare it to and we just loved the Cowboys.
I don’t like the new stadium or the old new owner.
My most lasting memories are tinged with negativity: For example, I vividly recall wandering the parking lot with my mom and two brothers after the Jacksons’ “Victory” concert because we couldn’t find our car. Many years later, my car overheated as my brother and I waited to get into the parking lot for a high school football playoff game. We had to walk across a couple of highways to get to a service station.
