Donate or Bid For a Triple Win
While I haven’t been to University Park City Hall since a tour in third grade, its current basket auction might just make a trip worthwhile. You can make bids on the second floor of City Hall for baskets with themes such as movie lovers, chocolate, and the ever enticing spa. For a $1 donation you can vote for your favorite. Each basket was prepared by a different city department, and members of the department who made the first place basket will all receive a free lunch.
All proceeds from the auction and voting will go to the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. But hurry, the winners will be notified tomorrow Feb. 8, so if you want to win anything today’s the day.
