Tequila Social Opens Off Katy Trail
Harwood Hospitality’s 14th concept, a West Texas-inspired Tex-Mex spot called Tequila Social, is open on the Katy Trail.
The restaurant at 3100 McKinnon St. is 10,000 square feet with a dog-friendly patio with seating for more than 200, with TVs, fire pits, games, and live music on the weekends. There are two entrances – one through the first floor of the parking garage of the building at 3100 McKinnon St., and another directly off the Katy Trail.
The menu includes starters like cantina queso with a five-cheese blend, roasted chilis, pico de gallo, and optional pulled brisket and housemade empanadas, as well as Tex-Mex favorites like fajitas and enchiladas with an extensive margarita and frozen drink program. Those looking for lighter fare can opt for the shrimp and avocado salad or the marinated watermelon salad with arugula, peanuts, avocado, pico de gallo, and tajin vinaigrette.
“Harwood Hospitality could not be more excited to add this social dining experience to the Katy Trail. Our oversized outdoor patio will be one of the best outdoor dining and socializing experiences in the DFW area,” Harwood Hospitality COO Matt Minichino said.
The drink menu includes a blueberry basil margarita, blood orange coconut margarita, smokey pina margarita, melon ranch water made with lime, firewater bitters, Herradura Reposado, and ginger beer; Cactus Flower Agua Fresca made with Nue Vodka, St. Elder elderflower liqueur, cucumber mint agua fresca, and more.
“Our goal was to make it for easy drinking and hanging out with friends (even furry ones) on our patio or catching a game on one of the big screens,” Tequila Social general manager Jeremy Barnes said.
