Work On New High Rise At Former Site of Preston Place Condos Underway

These days, the property that housed the former Preston Place condo building, which was the site of a deadly fire in 2017, is a construction site.

Houston-based developer Hanover Co. intends to build a 23-story multifamily high rise that will have 213 rental units on the property located on Northwest Highway near Preston Road, according to planning documents filed with the state.

The high-rise project is estimated to cost more than $118 million and is expected to be completed in 2025, the documents show.
