HP Bass Team Reels In Regional Title
The HP Bass Team earned first place in the team standings at the Texas High School Bass Fishing Association regional tournament on April 9 at Lake Texoma.
Highland Park sent five two-person teams to the event, which included 331 boats from 79 schools overall. The top three boats contributed to the team score, with HP’s combined catch weighing 37.27 pounds.
Dylan Sorrells and Cullum Brown combined for a fifth-place finish. They will advance to the state tournament at Belton Lake in May along with two other HP tandems — Will Mabus and Hayden Craven, and Wilson Gill and Marshall Smith.
