TACA Silver Cup Luncheon Details Announced

TACA – (The Arts Community Alliance) is gearing up for the 44th annual TACA Silver Cup Awards Luncheon.

The luncheon will be at noon April 21 at the National at Thompson Dallas. Volunteers and patrons, Jennifer Burr Altabef and  Larry Angelilli, will be honored for their contributions to the diverse cultural scene of Dallas through their support for the arts.

Altabef is a volunteer who serves as the chair of SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts Executive Board and the chair of the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Theater Center.

She also serves on the NPR Foundation boards, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Global Fund for Children, and Big Thought.  She is a previous chair of the Dallas Zoological Society and SMU’s University Libraries Executive Board. A recipient of SMU’s Distinguished Alumni Award, she will receive Texas Appleseed’s Good Apple Award jointly with her husband in November 2021.

Angelilli has been involved in the Dallas arts community since 1999, including terms as president of the Board of Trustees of the Dallas Theater Center (DTC) and chairman of the Finance Committee for the AT&T Performing Arts Center. 

This 2022 luncheon, chaired by Diane Brierley and Deborah McMurray, will be highlighted by performances from the Turtle Creek Chorale, winners of the Student High School Musical Awards presented by Broadway Dallas, formerly Dallas Summer Musicals, and a special musical selection from The Dallas Theater Center’s production of The Sound of Music

“This year’s TACA Silver Cup Award Luncheon will celebrate two well-deserving individuals whose support for and commitment to the arts are boundless,” said Terry D. Loftis, Donna Wilhelm Family President & Executive Director.  “In keeping with TACA’s annual Silver Cup tradition, we look forward to honoring Jennifer and Larry for their time, guidance, intellect, and creativity in support of the cultural arts landscape in Dallas.”
