Lady Scots Carry Momentum Into District
Highland Park will begin the District 13-5A volleyball schedule on Friday as one of the hottest teams in the state.
The Lady Scots (22-5) have won 10 consecutive matches against Texas opponents, and earned their third straight sweep on Tuesday at Rockwall-Heath. HP wrapped up nondistrict play with the 25-22, 25-20, 25-15 victory.
As far as 13-5A play, it opens with HP hosting Royse City on Friday, followed by a trip to West Mesquite on Sept. 14. The Lady Scots went undefeated in the same district a year ago and are the overwhelming favorites to claim another title this fall.
