TCA Continues TAPPS Golf Dominance

The golf team at Trinity Christian Academy in Addison won its second straight TAPPS 5A state title on May 3 in Temple. The team includes three Preston Hollow residents — Scott Bennett, Justin Thompson, and Nicolas Wren.

Will Zalatoris led the Trojans by finishing second individually with a score of 74-71—145 during the two-round event. Zalatoris won the individual state crown in each of the past two years. Thompson, a freshman, placed 11th overall. Bennett and Wren, both seniors, tied for 22nd place.

As a team, TCA defeated Houston St. Thomas by six strokes. The school has won six state titles in the past seven years.
