Richard Sheridan Doesn’t Know When to Quit
Richard Sheridan and I got a bit of national publicity last spring, after he left me the most vile message in the history of telephones. His profane outburst happened on the day he garnered only 28 votes in a City Council election. A teenage Preston Hollow resident named Jacob King received 77 votes in the same four-person race, and Sheridan vowed to stop for running for office if King’s total exceeded his.
To no one’s surprise, Sheridan has reneged on that promise, filing paperwork to run for the District 8 seat on the DISD Board of Trustees. But The Dallas Morning News‘ Matthew Haag is reporting that Sheridan may not be eligible to run for that seat.
