Kleinman Keeps Things Light Before Serious Business

In case you missed it, the City Council on Wednesday voted for a fracking ordinance that requires a 1,500-foot setback between drills and homes. The final tally was 9-6, and one of the six on the losing side was Lee Kleinman.

The Preston Hollow resident, who said before his election last spring that he hadn’t had time to form an informed opinion on gas drilling, called the 1,500-feet requirement “unreasonable and extremist,” according to The Dallas Morning News.

The Hollow’s other newly elected representative, Jennifer Staubach Gates, was one of the nine on the winning side, as was Mayor Mike Rawlings.
