Miss Laura Susan McAlister and Mr. Trammell Day Summers were married on May 18, 2013, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta. The Rev. Daniel P. Matthews Jr. officiated. The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.

Laura is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Wayne McAlister of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Yarbrough of Monroe, La., and Mrs. Frances McAlister and the late Mr. George McAlister of Wynnewood, Okla. She is a graduate of Greenhill School in Dallas and Davidson College. She received her law degree from Emory University and is currently an attorney with Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C.

Trammell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dennis Summers of Atlanta and the grandson of the late Judge and Mrs. Ralph H. Pharr of Atlanta, and the late Mrs. Hope C. Summers of Smyrna, Ga. He is a graduate of the Westminster School and Boston College. He received his M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and is currently a vice president in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey.

The bride’s sister, Kelly Jenkins of Atlanta, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Elizabeth Billet, Courtney Lundeen, Emily Maples, Jordan Dinos, and Catherine Williams. The groom’s brother, Brandon Summers, was the best man. Groomsmen included Christopher Jones, Benjamin Port, John Imbriglia, Scott Norville, Michael Glass, and K.C. Honeyman. Margaret Hyman and Kadee Hoyt served as readers; Dr. Daniel Wood and Julian Mohr Jr. ushered.

The rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents at the Piedmont Driving Club. The wedding reception was held at the St. Regis Hotel.

Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple reside in Atlanta.
