Preston Royal Library Looks Pretty Hip
Earlier today I was looking through the design plans for the new Preston Royal Library, and was surprised to see how modern and contemporary the inside was. However, it’s not being built for another five or six years, so I’m not sure it will still be so modern by then. But the bright colors, self-checkout kiosks, and lack of circulation desks make me wonder if the designers from Perkins & Will have ever been into a library.
