Public Schools Open Doors To (Drumroll)… The Public
If you have a kid and have ever considered sending him or her to school, Beverly Kohrs, Suzan Guthrey, and Beth Glispin, all of them decade-long PTA volunteers, make a decent case for Preston Hollow Elementary in today’s print product. It’s a really good school, they say. And it’s free.
The occasion for the article is the school’s annual open house, where parents from the neighborhood are invited to come check things out. And PH is not the only local school hoping to get noticed. Pershing, Kramer, and PH all have an open house on Tuesday, Franklin has one Wednesday, and Hillcrest has one Thursday, all at 6:30 p.m.
Show up, meet with teachers and parents, check out the curriculum, and learn about your local school. There’s nothing to lose. It’s free, after all.
