One-Stop Beauty Shop Adds Zeal To Preston Royal

It’s tough: going to one place to get your hair done, a totally different place to have your teeth whitened, then another place entirely to remove that pesky tattoo you may or may not remember getting when you were 19.

Enter Zeal Med Spa & Salon, which is going between Cherish and Pier 1 Imports on the southeast corner of Preston and Royal, a few doors down from Border’s. Owner Ann Keuppens, a former bridal model who moved here from Belgium three years ago, can list Zeal’s services better than I:

“We’ll have a hair salon where we’re going to do Paris-style treatments, hair cuts, colorings, hair extensions,” Keuppens said. “We will do the European UV gel nails … teeth whitening, soft aesthetics like waxing, facials, Microdermabrasion, massages, IPLs [laser skin treatment], laser hair removal, skin tightening, Botox, fillers, tattoo removal.”

Keuppens, who owned a salon for 11 years in Belgium, said Dallas doesn’t have anything like the range of services or European ambience that will be offered by Zeal.

Right now, the storefront is little more than a concrete floor and drywall, but Keuppens said she expects to have Zeal open by the end of March.

“You have medical spas in Dallas and hair salons, but combined with everything together like teeth whitening and everything it’s hard to find, so I think it’s great as a client you just walk into one building and have it all done.”
