Paint the Town Purple in Preston Hollow
Since October is domestic violence awareness month, the Dallas Domestic Violence Task Force is making it easy for you to show your support to put an end to domestic violence. You can pick up a free purple ribbon to display on a tree or front door at Preston Royal Library, or the Marcus Rec Center throughout October.
According to the task force, other ways to show support include:
- Painting one fingernail purple to #PutTheNailInIt
- Wear a purple lapel ribbon or purple clothing items to #PaintBigDPurple
- Donate or volunteer to domestic violence shelters and agencies
- Attend a domestic violence awareness event in October
