Police Report: Jan. 5 – 10

DALLAS

5 TUESDAY

Between 10 p.m. on Jan. 4 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 5, a thief stole property from an unlocked vehicle in the 9000 block of Briarwood Lane.

Between 9:50 and 11:15 a.m., a crook stole property from an unlocked vehicle in the 7400 block of West Northwest Highway.

Between 3:40 and 3:50 p.m., a burglar broke into a vehicle at Preston Forest Shopping Center and stole property.

At 5:01 p.m., a shoplifter stole merchandise from Nordstrom at NorthPark Center. A teenager was arrested on a theft charge.

6 WEDNESDAY

Between 11:15 and 11:45 a.m., a malefactor broke into a black Honda SUV in the 8600 block of Turtle Creek Boulevard and stole property.

Between 6 and 6:10 p.m., a shoplifter stole merchandise from AT&T Experience at NorthPark Center.

Between 7 and 10:40 p.m., a larcenist stole jewelry from a house in the 8800 block of Lakemont Drive after the homeowner hosted a guest for the evening.

7 THURSDAY

Between 9 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 7, a thief stole electronics from an unlocked vehicle in the 6000 block of Del Roy Drive.

Between 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 7, a vandal broke a window on a vehicle in the 6200 block of Norway Road, but nothing was stolen.

Between 7 a.m. on Jan. 4 and 6 p.m. on Jan. 7, a vandal broke a window and mirror on a vehicle in the 5800 block of Waggoner Drive, but nothing was stolen.

8 FRIDAY

At 12:15 p.m., a pickpocket stole a wallet from a shopping cart inside Trader Joe’s at Preston Hollow Village.

Between 2:15 and 3:15 p.m., a pickpocket stole a wallet and cash from a purse at Preston-Royal Southwest, then withdrew $5,000 from the victim’s bank account using a credit card. Less than an hour later, another wallet was snatched from a purse inside a store at Preston Forest Shopping Center.

Between 3 and 3:40 p.m., a shoplifter stole merchandise from Nordstrom at NorthPark Center.

Between 8 and 9 p.m., an employee embezzled clothing from Macy’s at NorthPark Center. Dekera Lanay Williams, 23, was arrested on a theft charge.

9 SATURDAY

At 4:31 a.m., a burglar broke into Neiman Marcus Last Call in the 5500 block of West Lovers Lane and stole jewelry.

Between 8 and 8:20 a.m., a wrongdoer broke into a vehicle at St. Monica Catholic Church in the 9900 block of Midway Road and stole a camera.

Between 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 1:31 p.m. on Jan. 9, a rogue stole property from an unlocked vehicle in the 5400 block of University Boulevard. The same thing happened during the same time frame in the 5300 block of University.

At 3:40 p.m., a rapscallion broke into a vehicle and stole it from a parking lot in the 5300 block of Forest Lane.

10 SUNDAY

At 1:14 p.m., a shoplifter stole clothing from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center. Tyler Brett Sampson, 25, was arrested on a theft charge.

Between noon on Jan. 9 and 4 p.m. on Jan. 10, a thief stole the catalytic converter from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Beechwood Lane.
