Carrie Fisher to Speak at Meal for the Minds
Actress and author Carrie Fisher, famous for playing Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy, is this year’s keynote speaker for the Meal for the Minds luncheon.
The luncheon will be held at the Hilton Anatole Sept 24. An edible auction will precede the lunch at 11 a.m.
The event will benefit Metrocare Auxiliary, a volunteer group dedicated to helping people with mental illnesses, highlighting their care for those with bipolar disorder.
