Blue Wave Surges Past Frisco Foes

Highland Park continued its preparation for postseason action by defeating Frisco Wakeland and Frisco Reedy in a recent dual meet.
The HP boys won five individual events, including gold medals for Ethan Nguyen in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Other winners included Peter Paulus (50 freestyle), Max Van Cauwelaert (100 breaststroke), and Henry Wang (200 individual medley). Robert Clarke and Alex Stidham were among the runners-up. The Blue Wave also claimed the boys 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.
On the girls side, Lindsey Hosch was the individual event champion in the 200 free and 100 fly, while Katherine Huang was first in the 50 free (an event in which the Blue Wave swept the podium). Runner-up finishes went to Alicia Bi, Maddy Helton, Claire Kornman, and Hannah Jiang.
