Park Cities Historic and Preservation Society Landmarked Four Homes
The Park Cities Historic and Preservation Society celebrated four homeowners for excellence in historic, architectural, or renovation significance with landmark awards.
The homes included:
A Tudor style, which sits on almost an acre at 4201 Lakeside Drive. The owners restored the house and gardens from drawings found in the attic, keeping the original windows and doors. (not pictured)
A Prairie-style home at 3508 Lexington Avenue, which was one of the original blocks of homes in Highland Park. The home has a wood frame and siding.
An English Tudor at 3835 Shenandoah Street in rough-cut limestone, slate roof, leaded windows, and a stucco and half-timber turret bay window.
A French eclectic built in the late 1930s and remodeled in the 1960s at 4309 Westway Avenue. The upgrades included adding a porte-cochere.
