Brittany Lauren Bishop & William Martin Smalley
Brittany Lauren Bishop and William Martin Smalley exchanged wedding vows May 14 on the Four Seasons Hotel lawn overlooking Lady Bird Lake in Austin. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Marcus McFaul. A reception of dining and dancing followed in the ballroom of the Four Seasons.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ronnie Key of University Park and the late Kelly Scott Bishop of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs Raymond Eugene Maher of Dallas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ross Smalley of Highland Park. He is the grandson of Elinor June Smalley and the late Dean Fisher Smalley of Dallas and the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Forster Raubfogel of Kerrville, Texas.
The bride selected an A-line, strapless gown by Monique Lhuillier from Neiman Marcus. The elegant silk organza creation featured a sweetheart neckline with a ruched bodice cascading into a full dramatic skirt, which had gathers forming an elaborate floral design with soft rosette ruffles at its base. An ivory, cathedral-length veil framed her face and traced the length of her wedding train.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle by her stepfather. Attending as maid of honor was Kellen Leigh Shults. Bridesmaids included Audrey Elizabeth Ausburn, Jessica Lynne Carameros, Lauren Leigh Clark, Currie Mather Miller, Laura Elizabeth Mills, Margaret Hayter Newell, and Sarahbeth Sharp. Members of the house party were Brianna Lee Davis, Kayse Wren Key, Lara Frances Malnory, Mary Caroline Sargent, and Sarah Rose Heep.
Serving the groom as best men were his brothers, August Ross Smalley and Drew Fisher Smalley. Groomsmen included William Everett Francis, Louis Price Manford Jr., Robert Adam Mundinger, William Nicholas Padon, Austin Craig Schenkel, and Brandon Bussey Schubert. Ushers were Jeffrey Daniel Burns, William James Foran, Bradley Holt Hickman, John Michael Key, David Rice Meyer, Robert Edward Rain, Marco Andres Rodriguez, and Austin Lee Sherrill.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Highland Park High School. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and received a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. While in Dallas she worked as an account executive at Modern Luxury Media.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Highland Park High School. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from the Plan II Program. He is pursuing a Master of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University. In Dallas, he was employed as an investment banking analyst at Raymond James.
Following their wedding trip to Europe with an extensive tour of Italy and France, the couple are at home in New York City.
