Scots To Play in All-Star Games
Three Highland Park baseball players have been selected to play in baseball all-star games this month.
Right fielder Jake Howeth, who will also play in a football all-star game in July at Cowboys Stadium, will play in both the North Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association’s all-star game on June 13 at Grand Prairie’s QuikTrip Park and the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association’s all-star game on June 19 at Round Rock’s Dell Diamond.
Joining Howeth at the NTHSBCA all-star game will be teammates Ben McElroy and Ford Stainback.
The Scots finished this past season with a 32-6 record. Highland Park lost a three-game series to Frisco Wakeland in the third round of the Class 4A state playoffs.
