Highland Park High School received a “vague threat” Wednesday morning that local law enforcement determined was not credible.
There was no danger to the campus and school operations continued without interruption, but extra officers remained at the high school on Wednesday, principal Kevin Hunt wrote in an email to parents.
He said that the FBI had also been consulted on the school’s safety procedures.
“Please know, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and we take every report seriously. If there were ever a credible or immediate threat to our campus, parents and guardians would be contacted right away, and appropriate safety actions would be implemented without hesitation,” the email read.
Anna High School and Coppell High School both canceled classes Wednesday after receiving potential threats, local media outlets, including Fox 4, reported.
