Hockaday Extends Title Run in Lacrosse
The Hockaday lacrosse dynasty continues to reach new milestones. The Daisies earned their record fifth consecutive Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League state title on Sunday in Austin.
Hockaday rolled past The Woodlands 20-8 in the championship game, jumping out to an early lead and securing the team’s 15th consecutive victory.
The Daisies (17-1) were unbeaten against in-state competition this season, winning most of their games by double-digit margins. They averaged more than 19 goals per game.
Another balanced attack propelled Hockaday on Sunday, led by Mae Flanagan, Sunnie Wang, and Brooke Eckert with three goals apiece.
Last month, the Daisies claimed their fourth straight SPC girls lacrosse crown with a 15-6 triumph over Episcopal School of Dallas.
