Bears Earn Three-Peat in TAPPS Tennis
Ursuline continued its dominance in TAPPS tennis with a third consecutive Class 6A team championship at the state tournament on Monday in Waco.
Ursuline sophomore Erin Gan-Dy repeated as girls singles champion without dropping a set in the tournament. The Bears are coached by Tridib Goswami.
In doubles, the Bears took the top two spots, as Marie Therese Ducayet and Catherine Hochman topped Ashley Paredes and Anna Grace Shufford in straight sets in the final.
In Class 4A, Shelton claimed the team title as well as the girls doubles crown with the sibling tandem of Emory Cox and Berkley Cox.
