31 Monday
A magnetic gate arm at Hilltop Plaza was damaged in a minor crash on Hillcrest Avenue at about 3:48 p.m.
2 Wednesday
A license plate looter stole two plates and registration from a vehicle in the 3500 block of Centenary Drive at about 10:08 a.m.
Reported at 11:02 a.m. on University Boulevard: A fraudster used a man’s personal information to open an account without his permission.
The 18-year-old driver of a 2010 Chevy Malibu was arrested for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at about 10:24 p.m. on Turtle Creek Boulevard.

A woman came to the University Park Police Department lobby on University Boulevard at about 12:50 p.m. to report that she suspected her driver’s license had been stolen.
A brazen burglar broke into an office building in The Plaza at Preston Center and stole petty cash at about 5 p.m.
5 Saturday
How easy was it for a thief to steal prescription Ritalin, a Lancome purse, makeup, money, a gift card, and sunglasses from a Mercedes-Benz in The Plaza at Preston Center at about 7:15 p.m.? The vehicle was left unlocked.

A bag bandit broke into a 2025 BMW iX in the 6400 block of Lomo Alto Drive at about 4:17 p.m. and stole a Chloe purse, cash, credit and debit cards, a Bottega wallet, a driver’s license, and a BMW key.
A purse poacher broke into a 2016 Volvo XC60 in the 6400 block of Lomo Alto Drive at about 4:51 p.m. and stole a Nine West handbag, a wallet, a driver’s license, and credit and debit cards.
A two-wheeler thief entered a garage on Colgate Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. and stole a Rocky Mountain bicycle.

31 Monday
Reported at 4:45 p.m.: A “producer for Sony” who claimed to be working with a well-known rapper missed a beat when he paid $6,350 for necklaces at Ylang 23 in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue. The transactions were disputed, and the money was later pulled from Ylang 23’s account.
A reckless roadster did not stop and leave information after hitting a 2013 Dodge Ram in the 4500 block of Edmondson Avenue before 10:45 p.m.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at about 9:07 a.m. in the 4700 block of Drexel Drive for possession of drug paraphernalia, impeding traffic, and not having a valid driver’s license.
A tool thief stole a backpack blower and pole saw at about 1:50 p.m. from the 4000 block of Euclid Avenue.
A greedy grinch stole a green and yellow John Deere Power Wheels toy vehicle and Trek 20-inch bike with a small orange bell before 6:28 p.m. from a front yard in the 4500 block of Belclaire Avenue.

A thief stole a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali from a circle driveway in the 4900 block of Abbott Avenue before 7:30 a.m.
Reported at 7:53 a.m.: A pedaling pilferer stole an electric blue Giant Bicycles road bike from a garage in the 4600 block of Beverly Drive before 8 a.m. on March 29.
A 44-year-old man was arrested for mail theft at about 8:32 a.m. in the 3800 block of Mockingbird Lane.
Reported at 3:51 p.m.: Shoplifters with expensive tastes stole a gold flap bag with a top handle worth $6,000 from Chanel in Highland Park Village at about 3:01 p.m. on March 23.

A thief carrying a trash bag filled with property placed the bag in a town-issued bin behind a home in the 3800 block of Shenandoah Avenue, took the bin out of its location, and continued rolling it westbound down the alley at about 8:12 a.m.

A 36-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a weapon without a license at about 12:21 a.m. in the 5400 block of Eastern Avenue.
Officers arrested a 27-year-old man on multiple warrants at about 1:34 a.m. in the 4700 block of Byron Avenue.
