A Move Closer to Family Brought Vibrant Lifestyle and Friendships, Too
When the Nasers left their mountain home in North Carolina, they weren’t just moving—they were seeking connection. Their two sons were grown and settled in Dallas, and Bill and Barbara only saw them during the holidays.
That changed when their sons expressed a heartfelt wish: “We want you to live closer to us.”
“We were surprised, but very happy,” Barbara recalls. “We looked at several places. Edgemere was by far the best choice for us. It’s exactly what we wanted.”
From the beautiful Preston Hollow campus to the vibrant, welcoming residents, the luxury senior living community offered everything the Nasers were looking for.
The couple was also struck by the inviting atmosphere. “The other places seemed hotel-like or cold, like office buildings,” Barbara notes. “We wanted a place that felt like home. We’ve made so many interesting new friends, too.”
With a packed calendar of activities, committees to join, and opportunities to volunteer, there’s never a dull moment at Edgemere. Barbara joined the “Knit Wits” crafting group, while Bill enjoys the community’s woodshop. The Nasers also stay active with resident committees, Tai Chi, aerobics, and a variety of social events.
“If you can’t find something to do here, it’s your own fault,” Barbara jokes. “This place keeps you moving and your mind going.”
“The staff here is incredible, too,” Bill says. “They go out of their way to make life easier. It’s more than we could have hoped for. And being near our sons has been incredible—we get to see our children every week, not just once a year!”
