Scots Hold Off Torrey Pines in Lacrosse
After a two-week break in the regular-season lacrosse schedule, Highland Park defended its home turf against another prominent out-of-state opponent.
The Scots earned a hard-fought 11-7 win over Torrey Pines on Friday at Highlander Stadium, defeating the California powerhouse for the second consecutive season.
HP also bounced back after a 13-9 loss to IMG Academy during the team’s recent trip to Florida. That defeat snapped a six-game winning streak.
The Scots (10-2) remain unbeaten against Texas foes this season heading into the stretch run prior to postseason play. They will travel to face Austin Westlake on April 5 before returning home two days later against Curtis (Wash.).
