Rangers Carry Win Streak Into Playoffs

After claiming its first district title since 2017, Jesuit Dallas has significant goals for the upcoming boys soccer playoffs.

The Rangers (17-1), who have won 13 straight games dating back to Jan. 22, will meet Arlington Lamar in the Class 6A Division II bi-district round on Friday in Irving.

Jesuit has allowed just four goals during its winning streak and has outscored opponents by a combined 50-6 this season. The Rangers are seeking their third state championship and first since the 2017 season.

In Class 5A Division I, W.T. White will look to continue a history-making unbeaten season during a bi-district matchup against Bryan Adams on Friday at Franklin Stadium. The Longhorns (15-0-3) surrendered only four goals en route to the District 13-5A crown.

That game will be preceded by the WTW girls also facing Bryan Adams in a first-round clash. The Longhorns (14-7-1) are making their 10th consecutive postseason appearance after a runner-up finish in 13-5A.

The Hillcrest girls (17-4-1), who beat out WTW for the 13-5A title and have scored 81 goals this year, will host Woodrow Wilson in a Division II playoff opener on Thursday.

Hillcrest’s boys team is in the Division I bracket, and will travel to take on North Mesquite on Thursday in the opening round. The Panthers (5-3-8) have a five-game unbeaten streak and have lost just once in the past two months.
