Don’t know how porch pirates sleep at night? One may be resting on the set of white bed sheets in a package stolen from Marquette Street at about 1:55 p.m. on March 4.

UNIVERSITY PARK

3 Monday

A burglar stole an ALDO purse, a passport, a driver’s license, and Apple AirPods from an Audi in The Plaza at Preston Center before 11:54 a.m.

Reported at 10:46 p.m.: Officers stopped the 26-year-old driver of a 2006 Nissan Sentra on Dublin Street and arrested him on a Collin County warrant for robbery. 

4 Tuesday

A greedy thief stole one gold coin from a package at about 8:47 a.m. on Villanova Drive.

If they’re planning a kitchen redesign, a porch pirate may have struck the jackpot at about 9:44 a.m. on Milton Avenue. They stole packages containing an expandable cutting board holder and paper towel holder.

5 Wednesday

A sneaky thief drove off in a stolen 2023 GMC Sierra Denali at about 6:51 a.m. on San Carlos Drive.

A crook broke into a 2018 Toyota 4Runner on Mockingbird Lane before 5:43 p.m. and stole a Shadow Systems firearm and OSEE computer monitor.

A reckless roadster did not stop and exchange information after a collision on University Boulevard at about 6:52 p.m.

Officers made a traffic stop on Lovers Lane at about 11:11 p.m., and arrested a 52-year-old man on outstanding local warrants.

6 Thursday

A piggish porch pirate stole a package containing food from outside the front door of a home on Rosedale Avenue at about 2:59 p.m.

A thief cruised off in an unlocked Land Rover containing clothes and cosmetics at about 6:59 p.m. on Villanova Drive.

A deviant driver took off after hitting another vehicle on Mockingbird Lane at about 8:24 p.m.

7 Friday

A 24-year-old man was arrested on a warrant after officers stopped his Pontiac G6 at about 12:12 a.m. on Tulane Boulevard.

8 Saturday

Reported at 11:22 a.m.: A brazen burglar stole tools and equipment from a building in The Plaza at Preston Center.

A thief went shopping in a 2020 Dodge RAM 250 on Preston Road at about 3:56 p.m. Their unauthorized purchases included a Brighton purse, cash, a VeraBank debit card, Apple AirPods, an Amazon Kindle, Brighton sunglasses, earrings and a necklace, James Avery earrings, a suitcase, and clothing.

9 Sunday

A reckless roadster driving a 2018 Chevy Camaro was involved in a hit and run at about 6:17 p.m. on University Boulevard.

HIGHLAND PARK

3 Monday

A poor parker hit a 2015 Lexus RX 350 in the Whole Foods parking lot in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive before 6:05 p.m., and did not leave information.

4 Tuesday

A 39-year-old man was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue for possessing drug paraphernalia, failing to have insurance, having an expired license and registration, carrying a weapon without a license, and possessing a controlled substance.

5 Wednesday

A 36-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at about 2:34 a.m. in the 4100 block of Mockingbird Lane.

A 38-year-old was arrested in the 4100 block of Mockingbird Lane at about 1:19 a.m. on warrants and for possession of a controlled substance.

6 Thursday

A 37-year-old man was arrested for an undisclosed reason at about 9:25 a.m. in the 3300 block of Mockingbird Lane.

A backyard bandit cut a chain securing a back gate in the 3500 block of Gillon Avenue and pedaled off on an older Schwinn Diamondback bike before 10 a.m.

7 Friday

A 46-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant at about 11:09 a.m. in Highland Park Village.

8 Saturday

A 26-year-old man and 39-year-old woman were arrested at about 2:11 a.m. in the 5500 block of Auburndale Avenue for mail theft. The man was also arrested on warrants and for a warrant probation violation.

An irresponsible driver hit a Nissan Rogue while the car was stopped at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Bishop Boulevard at about 5:40 p.m., then sped off without leaving information.

A 34-year-old man was arrested in the 4200 block of Potomac Avenue at about 10:45 p.m. for criminal trespass, evading arrest, and on a warrant.

A package pilferer stole a delivery containing Nora Fleming decorative platter pieces from a porch in the 3200 block of Cornell Avenue at about 9:27 a.m.
