SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: HIGH FLYING CROOK
An opportunistic crook stole two iPads, a kindle, AirPods, a passport, uniforms, luggage, clothing, make up, food, cash, a Federal Aviation Administration badge, a Known Crewmember badge, a Southwest Airlines badge, a crew badge, and a driver’s license from an unlocked Lincoln Aviator in The Plaza at Preston Center at about 7:05 p.m. on Feb. 21.
UNIVERSITY PARK
17 Monday
A 40-year-old man was arrested on a warrant at about 5:24 p.m. on University Boulevard.
A vain villain stole 65 cosmetics products from CVS in Snider Plaza at about 6:31 p.m.
18 Tuesday
A 16-year-old whose gender was not specified and 23-year-old man were cited for theft and criminal trespass after trying to steal a Plan B pill from CVS on Mockingbird Lane at about 1 a.m.
Reported at 5:51 p.m.: A fraudster stole $164 from Kuby’s in Snider Plaza.
19 Wednesday
A brazen burglar broke into a Subaru Outback on University Boulevard at about 12:37 p.m. and stole a Ruger 38 Special revolver, and a Taurus Deputy 45 Colt revolver.
Reported at 3:26 p.m. and 3:49 p.m.: A narcissistic no-good-doer stole cosmetics from CVS on Preston Road.
Reported at 3:41 p.m. A clotheshorse crook stole two dresses and a shirt from Adeline on Lovers Lane.
20 Thursday
How easy was it for a thief to steal a folding knife, Shadow Systems 9mm handgun, and accessories including a handgun sighting, SureFire WeaponLight, 9mm handgun magazines, 9 mm ammunition, and a case from a Genesis GV80 on Lovers Lane at about 12:40 p.m.? The car was left unlocked.
Reported at 4:55 p.m.: A backhanded burglar stole a tennis racket from the 3700 block of Centenary Drive.
21 Friday
Officers responded to a report of physical contact between two 13-and 14-year-old female students at Highland Park Middle School at about 8:48 a.m.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on a warrant and for possession of drug paraphernalia at about 6:23 p.m. on Rosedale Avenue. Evidence included an empty needle and foil with a burned residue believed to be heroin.

22 Saturday
Officers made a traffic stop of a 2013 Toyota Camaro at about 12:32 a.m. in Snider Plaza and cited a 26-year-old man for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers stopped a 2014 Chrysler 300 at about 3:38 a.m. in Snider Plaza and cited a 22-year-old man for possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on a warrant at about 7:53 p.m. on Grassmere Lane.
HIGHLAND PARK
17 Monday
A 29-year-old homeless man was arrested for public intoxication at about 12:05 a.m. in the 4400 block of Armstrong Parkway.
19 Wednesday
A bandit stole a backpack containing a folder, binder and MacBook Pro from a Dodge Charger SRT at about 12:30 p.m. in the Whole Foods parking lot in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.
20 Thursday
A sneak thief took a GMC Sierra from the 3100 block of St Johns Drive before 8 a.m.
A 29-year-old man was arrested for fraudulent use or possession of identifying information at about 11:20 a.m. in the 4600 block of Lorraine Avenue.
Two thieves clad in pink sweatsuits stole a GMC Sierra 1500 from the 4900 block of Abbott Avenue at about 11:41 a.m.
A luxury larcenist used a stolen credit card to buy a $5,800 handbag and $240 leopard print silk wrap from Fendi in Highland Park Village at about 12 p.m.

A 31-year-old was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and failing to dim their lights at about 12:21 a.m. at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Fairfield Avenue.
