Huang, Kemp Earns State Medals for HP
Highland Park senior Angelina Huang capped her decorated high school swimming career with a silver medal in the girls 100-yard backstroke at the Class 5A state meet on Saturday.
In her third state appearance, Huang swam her signature event in a time of 55.45 seconds, or just 0.18 seconds behind champion Brooke Frushour of Leander. Huang also placed eighth in the 200 individual medley. Lydia Westcott was seventh in the 50 freestyle.
Meanwhile, HP freshman Cullen Kemp came in third in the boys diving competition in his state debut with a total score of 398.4.
