Help Give HPHS Students an Improved Sensory Room
Community members can support the renovation of Highland Park High School’s sensory room by purchasing raffle tickets for a chance to win gift baskets from the Mahjong Line, Dear Hannah, Kat + Noelle, and other vendors.
Tickets are available for $5, and five tickets are on sale for $20. Click HERE to purchase raffle tickets or view available baskets, which range in value from $150 to $725.
Winners will be drawn during the “Celebrate the Renovate” Event from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Kat + Noelle, 5710 W. Lovers Lane, Suite 102. Luce Bakery will make the event sweeter by providing its signature chocolate chip cookies to attendees.
All raffle proceeds will support the HPHS Sensory Room Renovation. The renovation will give students with special needs an improved space to get their energy out, calm down, and refocus between activities.
Senior Piper Heath has raised $50,000 to remodel the room with support from the David M. Crowley Foundation, the Highland Park High School PTA, the Park Cities Learning Difference Association, the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee, and other community donors.
Heath expects the renovation, which includes new ceiling tiles, repainted walls, swings, bubble tubes, fiber optic lights, and other equipment, to be complete by mid-May.
